Dr. Tehrani strongly believes that in order to provide a premium service, it should be personalized to each individual. During your first visit Dr. Tehrani would like to get to know you and your goals. Therefore, one of our goals during your first visit is to understand you as an individual. During this visit, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns and expectations with Dr. Tehrani and her team. Evaluating your X-rays, examining the condition of your mouth, and discussing your personal information and how that might impact treatment decisions allow us to serve in the capacity of a consultant.
To respect your time, our appointments are carefully planned. Please expect to spend approximately 1-1.5 hours with us at your first visit. This ensures our ability to spend quality time with you and assist in your dental decisions. In most cases, at the initial visit, future appointments will be determined, estimated fees discussed, and financial arrangements reviewed. So that we may address all your questions, we encourage you to invite your spouse, friend, or family member to accompany you to this appointment. This is especially valuable if this person will be actively involved with your treatment or financial decision making process.
It is generally our goal to complete the examination and consultation process in one appointment. For patients whose treatment needs are more complex, however, a secondary consultation appointment may be scheduled at a later date. We strongly believe in thoroughly educating our patients and take a "no surprises" approach to patient care. It is then our goal to work very closely with your dentist and other health-care professionals to give you the best treatment possible in terms of your overall health. There will be a fee for the initial examination and consultation. Please, assist us at the time of your initial visit to the office by providing the following information.
- your referral slip and x-rays from your referring dentist
- a list of medication you are currently taking
- if you have dental insurance, please bring any forms or insurance cards with you to the appointment
Please notify the office if you have a medical condition, such as an artificial heart valve, a history of infective endocarditis, or joint replacement that requires antibotic premedication prior to dental appointments. You will need to take this premedication prior to your first visit if you have been instructed to do so by your physician. If you're referring dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they be forwarded to our office. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 416-769-0711
